About Me:
I was born with a dream. There was never a time I didn’t want to be a writer. It took me over half a century to fulfill my dream but with God’s help and persistence anything is possible. That mantra defines my life. No matter how difficult life becomes, no matter how many curve balls life throws your way, never give up.
My journey began in a little house in Honolulu, Hawaii where my immigrant grandparents had settled after retiring as plantation field workers. My humble beginnings led eventually to a mansion in Kahala Beach, and finally, to glitzy Aspen.
By the time I was in my fifties, my personal life was in shambles, my world had fallen apart, and I had no idea how to start over. I hadn’t worked for most of my adult life, having entered a fairytale world while still in my twenties. I didn’t know how to do anything except pray.
Then one day, the Lord told me to write a screenplay about a girl going to the California Gold Rush. I imagined a band of Mormons, dressed as Indians, attacking the wagon train and killing almost everyone. The girl was the daughter of a pastor who fell in love with the son of a Mormon Bishop. The idea wouldn’t leave me. I researched the Internet and found the story of the Mountain Meadow Massacre. I was astounded. I told the Lord I didn’t know how to write a screenplay. How many of you know that when God wants you to do something, He opens the doors? Not knowing how to write a screenplay was a technicality. Years before, the Lord made sure I became friends with Christopher and Sharon Cain. He was a movie producer/director and screenwriter. And in a flash, my dream of becoming a writer was restored.
I am grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ who took one of the “foolish things of the world to confound the wise.” In a world where only 1.1% of all screenwriters ever get a movie made, Jesus gave me a miracle. He turned me into a screenwriter and fulfilled a lifelong dream of being an author. “September Dawn” is the Lord’s movie, and His book. I’m just the tool in the Master’s Hand. What He did for me, He can and will do for you, if you never give up and simply believe.

Yeah, the song has been recorded many times, and is performed by choirs all around the world. Al Denson was the guy who first recorded it. Have you heard his stuff?

Glad you know the song...
God is amazing...the songs He gives me continue to reach out to people, often without my even knowing it.

Want to keep you in mind. I have a small book I may need a rush job on. I've already had an offer to publish it so I need to figure it out. The offer came off a pitch and not the entire ms.
