Dona,

Be prepared for a couple days at least of nothing but reading if you can manage it when you get Geralyn's book. It is nearly 600pages and most readers so far haven't wanted to put it down once they opened the cover.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Its a book that can be read many time over and not stop calling to be read once again.

Book 2, unfortunately for us readers, will proabably not be available till '09 - Spring if we're lucky.

Thanks, Dona! The designer who did my cover happens to be an multi-award winning one! Whew! Did I get lucky or what? The same designer is doing the cover for Time Masters Book Two; The Prophecy. Hee haw!

Hey Dona,

If your editing group ever wants my humble (okay, not so humble) opinion, lemme know and I'll see if I can work it out.

Hugs,
Kelly

Hey, Dona, thanks for leaving a comment, Dona. Details on gothic writing. . . well, mine like most is a dark, brooding novel involving a young girl in peril . . . only my twist is that it's a gothic novel of faith.

What about you? What sort of fantasy are you writing?

Thanks for the invite! I attend a SDCWG critique group here in Temecula. Great group! I didn't make it to the conference in Sept.--maybe this year. Maybe I'll see you there! :-) BTW, nice artwork.

Hey, thanks for the comment on my wall. Sounds like at least some parts of your writing journey are like mine. I wrote a lot when I was in junior high (two novellas, and several short stories), then got made fun of in high school for it (everyone else was into sports and girls) and pretty much abandoned fiction for the next ten years or so. The Enemy of all that is good and noble won a victory that time, albeit temporary. Thankfully, God helped me come back to a realization of who He created me to be, and I've been on a journey of discovering that more and more.

Publish America? I got skinned. Those guys will con you out of your socks! Bottom line, I would be glad to have made a farthing.
If all you care about is seeing your book in print, then give them a handshake. I am pleased for your friend, though.

Hi Dona. Thanks for wanting to be my friend. I took a quick read of a part of your fantasy story- a quick one because right now, i am all mushy in my thinking factory from lack of sleep- and I will be honest with you, you CAUGHT me. That was some peace.

you know when you read a story and you wish somewhere down there that it were yours? (laughs)

I am more into paranormal christian fiction, and like to think myself as the Gospel's answer to Stephen King, ha!

Hi, Dona :) I was by your site late last night and was planning to ask you to be my friend, but you beat me to it! I'm not so good at making the first move. LOL So happy you made the request. I look forward to getting to know you better. :)

You asked about my WIPs. Both will probably remain targeted to the general market, although redemption always seems to be a big theme for me. One is a contemporary urban fantasy thriller type story featuring a vampire who gets healed and redeemed. (I'm almost afraid to talk about that one, despite the positive message.) The other is a historical set in 10th century Ireland featuring a young woman who comes of age and comes into some powers that help her defeat an evil "entity" from Ireland's mythic past. Both have strong elements of spiritual warfare, though it's not really obvious that spiritual warfare is Christian. Now I just need to get busy and figure out which one I want to finish first!
