Hi, James. I reviewed your novel awhile ago, just couldn't find you to tell you! Couldn't recall from which loop we'd corresponded! Here's the review:

Hi Jim,

Your package arrived, and it came at the perfect time. I had a bad day and getting your book and CD, of which I listened to right away, cheered me up. Thank you so much. I will read the book after I am finished Tina Forkner's and will give it a plug! The book cover is beautiful and the CD, well Iove it! Wish you lived nearby. I'd invite you to the blues jamb that my husband plays in every Thursday night. He is an accomplished guitarist, and he is a luther...builds beautiful electric guitars.

Rita

Jim, your video is fabulous. Great song too. I'll be ordering a copy of your novel as soon as it's released. Just wondering, did you use YouTube software to make your video?

I think to send it to everyone you go to the bottom of the page and it lets you email. Or go to settings and do it that way (send an email directing people to your page.) Make sense?

Welcome back! It'll be a while on my book, probably early 2009. I'll let you know. I'd like to hear more about your book. What's it about? When will it be available?

Good! While both of you are up here, I want to wish you a very Happy Father's day. That also goes for all the Father's here. May your day be filled with God's blessings.
I'm looking forward to a nice BBQ with the kids this afternoon. I hope your day is just as pleasant.
PS: I'm also hoping for a Laker's win, but that seems like wishful thinking at this point.
Have a great day.

My novel, A Field of Lilies, is Christian Fiction and contains a little mystery, suspense, romance and so forth. The theme concerns the will of God and its many facets. Capstone Fiction is the publisher.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement. It's really up to me. I just need to get started.

I suppose my older songs are in the mode of progressive southern gospel. However, for the last several years I've been listening to contemporary Christian music. If I were to begin writing songs again it would probably be in that genre. The music I enjoy today is from David Crowder Band, Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, and Casting Crowns among others.

I agree; Songwriting contaminates your blood and never leaves you. I have a few songs that were popular when I was doing the local tour and may possibly go somewhere. You never know. The truth is: I've never actually submitted my songs to a publishing entity. I know that may sound odd, but I never felt the timing was right.

Thank you for responding. It is good to speak with someone who is knowledgable about the music industry.

Hi James,
I just received a publishing deal for my first novel. Obviously, the news was welcomed. But I really believe it may be time for some of my dusty old songs to breath some fresh air. Maybe it's just me, but I'm feeling a little tug in this direction. I have no desire to burden you, but could you offer some advice as to how I should proceed? I appreciate any and all of your thoughts.

Hi James,

I had a composer who'd do a great job, love his stuff, but I gave him a year, and didn't get anything, so I backed out. So, I'm lookin'.

Would you like to see a few pieces? BTW, you can't hurt my feelings if you don't like them. My skin is so thick, you couldn't punch thru it with a power drill.

Smiles,
Kelly

Hi James,

I noticed you write music. Are you a lyricist, or a composer? Probably both! I write lyrics, but haven't found a good fit with a composer.

Smiles,
Kelly

Nope, no note. I'm also still trying to figure out how all the stuff works here!
