Amazing News!!!!

I haven't told very many people because I was fairly sure I had no chance, BUT....

I submitted to Orson Scott Card's Literary Boot Camp last month. He chooses fifteen people and works with them for a week on their work. A huge dream come true for any spec author. So, I mailed in the first page of a short story I wrote a year ago and started nail bitting.

I got the news yesterday that I got picked as one of the fifteen. WOW! I'm stunned! I'm overwhelmed! I'm completely amazed!!!

I'd love your prayers about the money end. It's a pricey endeavor, but my husband is determined to bless me.

A week with OSC. God must love me a lot. :D

I'm so anxious for it to start! Just three more weeks. Three more weeks until I get to have my work shredded by one of the most amazing writers in sci-fi. Three more weeks until I feel like I'll never be that awesome. Three more weeks until I've got to pluck a short story out of my intimidated muse and present it to the man that wrote Ender. Eeek!!! I hope I can do this!

That's excellent news. And an entire week at that! What a wonderful blessing.

I was in a used bookstore recently and saw a book by Card called "Enchantment" - it was a pristine hardcover copy so I grabbed it. I had not know of this title previously.
