Hi All!
I apologize if you are receiving this more than once. I'm on several NING networks.
It's been several years since I published my last book. Finally, after two years of writing, and several more years of rewriting and submitting to editors, my newest historical romance is being released through a wonderful publisher, Abingdon Press. I thought I'd let you know that Surrender the Wind is available for order from online bookstores such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Cokesbury. Amazon is offering Surrender the Wind for $11.19 at a 20% discount. Cokesbury is even better. They are offering readers at whopping 40% discount! The purchase price is only $8.39. http://www.cokesbury.com/forms/search.aspx?ddlSearchScope=author&txtSearchQuery=Rita%20Gerlach
It will also be available in bookstores on August 1. On my homepage you can download the file to read the prologue and Chapter 1, and view my book trailer.

What is Surrender the Wind about?
An American patriot of the Revolution struggles with his loyalty to his country, by accepting an inheritance from his estranged grandfather in England. Upon his arrival in Devonshire, he meets and falls in love with Juleah, the daughter of an eccentric landed gentleman. Amid the joys of new love Seth and Juleah face tragedy and trial. Seth is reunited with his grieving sister, who was taken back to England at the start of the rebellion. A nephew is believed dead. A woman is found murdered in the woods. And Seth is told his wife, Juleah, has perished in a fire. What is the truth behind these tragedies?
One man holds the answers - one that despises his American enemy for gaining two things he wanted most -Ten Width Manor and the woman he desired. Seth Braxton’s arrival brings him many trials, where his devotion to those he loves is tested, and his faith is brought to the mere size of a mustard seed. To be a hero, he must stay in the battle.

Rita Gerlach has smitten me with the first chapter of her newest novel. “Surrender the Wind.” With the tone and dialogue of the times along with taunt Dickens-style phrasing, she instantly captures her characters, and just as quickly you either like them or you don’t. Her imagery is breathtaking: “The quill scratched over the parchment. Mingled with the resonance of rapping vines outside his window and the crackling fire, the sound dominated.” Every page reels in the reader. I impatiently wait to read the complete novel when Abingdon Press releases it in August.

If you love a great historical novel, filled with romance, action, and intrigue, then you won't want to miss Rita Gerlach's latest release 'Surrender the Wind'. Your heart will soar from the shores of America to the lush green hills of England and then plunge into despair as the characters you've grown to love face a cruel and bitter enemy, kidnappings, murders, and deep sorrow.
