The story of the demon-possessed man in the tombs in the NT is horrible. Similarly, Passover in Egypt was (not to mention the other plagues). Imagine writing a story from the perspective of someone who was there (besides Jesus or Moses) and you have…
You write the horror and I'll shock with the reality of the sexual tension between a man and a woman and we'll just smoke them out. What do you say? :P
I'm laughing at my postings on this now! "Willing Blood" won Editor's Choice, and many of the people I thought would ban me from my critique group loved it. And AWR just accepted another horror I wrote :). I've got a few more submitted to various pl…
Tamara, Michelle, and Mike--
Thank you for the comments and encouragement. I think my struggle is rooted in worry over what other people think. I read through a list I had compiled right after my story was accepted that explains the symbolism. I ha…
Kat,
I'd suggest that the struggles you're facing are a good thing. It shows you're trying to go deeper, be inventive, be unconventional, follow your writing instincts, and grow as an author. So some people call your work blasphemous. Is it? That's…
Kat,

OK, I know you don't want a play-by-play on the whole anthology, but I wanted to make a few more comments. I'm about half-way through (which means I've read your story, Mike--very good--you have a knack for descriptive language!). Here are some gene…
Hey, cool, Janet is your agent. :) Glad to have you here, Mike! Sounds like you'll fit right in.
