I think you said a mouthful. "A little action" is something many men crave - conflict, struggle, challenges of a more physical nature perhaps? My book is set in a war-torn country in Africa, climaxing during a United Nations invasion.

There are some famous models: War and Peace. All Quiet on the Western Front. For Whom the Bell Tolls. Some recent films have demonstrated that this general theme can be treated with wisdom, compassion and power: Saving Private Ryan, and Clint East...

I'm new here and just thought I'd stop by and I guess there isn't much discussion going on here, so I'll start something... What does everyone think of historical war novels?

Man, I am retarded...how did I get my goofy picture to download here, but now I can't stick the dumb thing anywhere else. Oh well, maybe it is God's way of protecting delicate software.

May God shine his GLORY upon you. and through you, and brighten your day. Please take a moment now to give thanks for what you cherish most in your life. Recognize also, the other gifts he has bestowed upon you. Have a wonderful day.

HAHA! It's really the least scary thing ever. Just wrinkle your nose and throw your hands unrealistically high on your hips, and that's it.

That's pretty edgy though, but Edward got run back into the hills. That's not a good history for scirssorhands.

Haha. Well, the story goes like this.
I'm proned to hurt myself a lot, and since I began blowing glass last year, I've been burned more times than most of the advanced artists. So therefore my good friend (and blowing partner) Kendall started calling me Edward scissorhands because she says that one day I'll have burned my hands down to little nubs and...they'll have to attach the glass tools as my hands....and I'll look just like Edward scissorhands...*BREATH*
I *fake* get mad at her for saying it. Haha, and that's the story in so much as I understand it all myself.
