Oh THAT Katie! I know who she is - she gave me some advice on how to write a resume for a novel competition a few months ago. Ahem. Turned out to be good advice. :) I think she and I also lurk around Randy Ingermanson's blog on occasion as well. I've got her email.

Hey - Susanne! Congratulations!! How excited were you to get the news? I was rather shocked, myself. Were you at Mt Hermon last year? Thanks for the friend invite. Who is your friend Katie? Maybe you could hook me up with her too. I think praying for each other is a great idea. Blessings to you both!!

It depends on the story. Do you think they have CBA potential if the stories were changed? Most of the time when that's done the Christian element seems tacked on. It would probably be better to look at a proposal for a psychological thriller that would work in both CBA and ABA. Edgy is okay with us, but the story needs to illuminate the human condition and have a transformational quality to it.

P.S....I just noticed your profile info. If you have a psychological thriller proposal, bring that to Mount Hermon, but Abingdon is not interested in YA, fantasy, sci-fi, or any type of speculative fiction. Hope that helps!

Susanne, I'd prefer to wait until Mount Hermon. Truthfully, I'm so busy editing manuscripts right now that I wouldn't have time to read a proposal. See you there!

About Me:
I love to write. Just completed my eighth novel and have two amazing and dedicated agents working hard to get my work out there. I write in contemporary fiction, YA fantasy, and YA sci-fi. I've also written literary fiction and psychological thrillers for mainstream market. I am ready to get published! I work professionally as a copyeditor and writing mentor while I work on my own novels. I'm starting book 4 in the Sacred Sites fantasy series and Book 2 in Time Sniffers, my new YA sci-fi similar to A Wrinkle in Time.
