I don't get why a woman who works at a crisis pregnancy center would take that attitude. I agree that it's tragic that Christians can be the most condemning group there is. How are people supposed to find out about God's grace and mercy is those w...

I think that people appreciate God much more after having gone through something like this. I know it's the "big" sins I've done that make me more grateful to Him. Regardless of what we do, He can make good from it. I'm a firm believer in redempti...

Wow. What a great topic this turned into! :-) I agree with everything that you two have said. It's not the sin that defines us but what we do afterwards that do, and that goes to people responding to what they see as well.

That is a great idea. I have heard of people doing surgery while the baby is still in the womb. How sad that people let the bottom dollar define what they will and will not do, esp. since there are woman who can't conceive who would love to do th...

I think it's a good idea if you don't mind people knowing you wrote the book. I find using my real name on my books force me to fall in line with God's will because I feel as if I am right in front of Him. So for me, it keep me in line. :-) But th...

I read your description of the book, but I still don't get what your solution is. Without knowing the bottom line, it's hard for me to know exactly how you're going to make both sides (pro-choice/pro-life) happy. Can you give more insight into thi...

I think it's fine the way you wrote it. But I don't think masturbation is necessarily wrong. I think it's what is going on in our minds during it that would be a right or wrong. Then again, all sin starts in the thought process. I just think there...

About Me:
I'm a stay-at-home mom with an Air Force husband, who works in x-ray, and four young boys. I love to read and write mostly romance and thrillers, though I do find myself picking up another genre once in awhile. I have self-published some fiction titles but am looking into finding an agent or small publisher. Unfortunately, I like to write about issues that will not make it to CBA. So I tend to write mainstream instead.

Hi Ruth;

Thanks for the wonderful comment. I do enjoy sharing the wealth of knowledge with other fellow writers. I have a guest blogger coming up and she's marvelous. She will be speaking all about publishing and the industry. I cannot wait to post her awesome information.

Hey, Ruth! Thanks for telling me about this place. Unfortunately, I have enough blogs--two is plenty! But it seems like a nice place to get to know other writers who aren't into the "dark" and truly "edgy" fiction that seems to dominate SFF right now, particularly the "urban fantasy". You know how sick I am of vamps and zombies "running amok and humping everything" as I told you. I wish there was more SFF that was what I like--thought-provoking and fun to read.

Oh my gosh, Ruth. I just realized you're from Husker Nation country. Are you a Big Red fan? If so, you'll want to read the next book in my series also - All the Fury of the Wind which is set in Lincoln for the last half of the book and involves the Huskers crosscountry, baseball, and football teams in the story about the evolution debate. My Dad was from Omaha.

"Hi! I had added you to my 50 new authors challenge list to read All the Stillness of the Wind. I found Edgy Christian Fiction Lovers by accident but have been scanning through here to find authors of the types of books I want to read. What interested me about the particular book I chose was that I had undergone a similar journey Jeremy will go on and want to see how you approach it."
Hi Ruth Ann,
Thanks so much for the encouraging note. Stillness has been nominated for an Editor's Choice award at All Books Reviews. I would be interested in taking gander at your work. Check out my publication website at www.SwordOfSpirit.net Happy New Year
