About Me:
Pastor's wife, three homeschooled boys, one married daughter. Part-time reporter/columnist/proofreader for local paper. Finished one category type romantic suspense. Revising. Second WIP started. I want my stories and characters to reflect the reality of being a Christian, not a fluffy stereotype that is irrelevant to the lost, and to most believers.

When we wanted to get away for a couple of days, we hung out in Glenwood and Rifle. Small world, eh? We used to live in Walden on a ranch outside of town. Between Delaney Buttes and Lake John. Now Walden is the land that God forgot. hehe We also lived on a ranch in Glendevey Colorado. We had a Jelm, Wyoming address, a Laramie, Wyoming bank accoung and a Colorado driver's license. Boy did we have trouble with cashing checks. hehe No, we didn't move out of state. We're Colorado natives as well. We moved down to the flatlands around the Denver area. If I had my way, we'd move away from the Denver area to another small town. But, God has other plans. Sometimes it was kind of a treat to go shopping with it so far. But, I like the treat of being able to shop whenever. Not that I'm much of a shopper. I'm not. But it's nice to run to the store for fresh produce and such.

I do miss that small town sometimes. But, to be honest, I'm really enjoying being able to jump in my Tracker and run to Walmart, Target, King Soopers, Home Depot, Office Max, and...ah heck...you get the idea. Before we used to drive 48 miles to Walmart. and to buy groceries. And well over a hundred to Home Depot and such. So, living in the city has its pros and cons. That ole saying that you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl....isn't true. hehe

Don't be a drag! Overcoming resistance to progress.

In a controlled environment, resistance can be used to develop strength and improve endurance, it can cause you to go further than you thought you could ever go. Let's look at some more ways we encounter resistance as we set out on a quest to attain a goal. Any goal, whether it's finishing NaNoWriMo or getting flatter abs, comes with resistance.Think about it, where's the fun in a video g

A review of "Exposure" by Brandilyn Collins

If you've ever run up the basement stairs with the inexplicable sense someone was about to reach out and grab your ankle, this book is for you.
Heroine Kaycee Raye has turned her inherited compulsive phobic behaviors into a career as a columnist. But when her fears start coming true, is it because she's perpetually paranoid, or because there really is something to be afraid of? This book has all the hallmarks of a great suspense read, with a dash of humor to lighten the tension, and an inspirati… Continue
