- Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Lynn used to think she had no life experiences to write about. So she moved. First to Seattle, where she met future husband, Knute. They moved with their young children to Kananga, Congo (in the heart of Africa). Lynn homeschooled her children through 10th grade and by then, she figured she'd had enough life experiences and could begin writing. "Even Hippos Can Drown" is her first book. She is currently writing a young adult fiction book for her brand new grandson, Will!
