Healing Grace

My latest release is now available for pre-order from the publisher's book store. The publisher is a secular one with several imprints. The editor is categorizing my book as inspirational, for which I'm thankful.

Publishing edgy after sweet cozy

The second book I wrote, back in 2003, is coming out in May. The guy who interviewed me for our local newspaper had read parts of it whe we were in a writing group together, and, with the bio and story on my cozy release, The Gold Standard last month, called my forthcoming book, Healing Grace, a parnormal. I've been calling it an intrigue so as not to scare my readers. I ripped off miracles from the Bible, so how paranormal can it be?

Depends.

Havah

I reached the third paragraph of the first chapter and closed my eyes and rememberd to breathe. Thank God beautiful language isn't dead. Lovely, earthy, incandescent words tumble hand in hand across a page, pulling me into the world fresh made. Thank you, Tosca, for not giving in to the tired old sales numbers that say intelligent women don't buy enough literate works to justify publishing them (yes, one of my former agents said that, and I still have the note), and thanks to NavPress for going… Continue

Writing for Charity

Meet Susan Miura

Susan’s first short story, “The Cotton Candy Man” comes out in February in an anthology titled Missing. Proceeds from the anthology will benefit organizations that search for missing people.

Susan, welcome. First, tell us a little about yourself, especially your lengthy public relations background and your writing journey to this point.

When I became a reporter for the high school newspaper, I knew I’d found my future. One week after college graduation, I was hired as a repor… Continue

I have a history minor -- I always use that, and my archaeology and anthropology background in my stories. Either the studies of people, or through writing in the historical genre. My current WIP centers around a historical mystery...and All or Nothing focuses on an unsolved, serial bandit from the 1870s...

Lots of fun to weave those plot threads in, and add spice to my stories. Thanks for writing, and I look forward to getting to know you better!

Hi Lisa ~
I'm a little slow on answering back, but I hope that by now you're enjoying the story of Gallimore and not just the cover....although I personally don't mind staring at castles for hours on end.
Enjoy!

Hi, Lisa!

Is John--pastor John? If so, I saw the review on his blog--so nice! Please thank him if you see him in person for me! And please let me know what you think of Havah. :)
