About Me:
I am a madly in love with God writer, happily married, and mom of a teenage son. I have moved 33 times, worked in banking, technology, and major computer corporations traveling around the country as a systems analyst.

I’m not a perfect wife, perfect mother, or perfect at anything. I keep a fairly clean house, cook semi-decent meals, and love to write. I'm a real life woman with real life problems.

I have made stupid mistakes, sinful mistakes, and often traveled down the wrong roads. God never gave up on me. He never let go, and welcomed me home when I stumbled back seeking His grace.

Thanks to undiagnosed Lyme disease, my medical journey could be used by several medical television shows. I've been poked, prodded, and diagnosed with... labyrinthitis, rheumatoid arthritis, swollen jugular vein, autoimmune inner ear disease, kidney infections, kidney stones, hearing problems, constant use of steroids to try and stop the unending dizziness, tumors, cysts, numbness, headaches, bleeding problems, eye problems, nerve damage, and the list goes on and on. Numerous surgeries, scans, blood tests, nerve tests... any kind of test, I've probably had it done.

I was officially diagnosed with Lyme disease in January 2006. Because the disease was not treated quickly it has become entrenched, and I’m now termed chronic by the medical community.

This wasn't my first journey through difficulties—there have been many. I serve an awesome God who has helped me through molestation by a baby-sitter, assault, rape, divorce, cancer, death of loved ones, surgeries, and illness.

There has been nothing enjoyable about suffering and pain. But I wouldn't change what I’ve learned. Through it all I’ve grown closer to the God who created, formed, and loved me before I was born.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

I love Christmas.

The beauty of the season, the lights and decorations, and the excitement on the faces of little ones.

But more than that, I love what Christmas signifies. Christmas is a celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Born to give new life, hope, and a way to eternal peace and joy in His preseence.

I have nothing of value to give the Prince of Peace... other than my heart.

Precious Jesus, thank You for coming to save us. Thank You for making a way for us to stand befo… Continue

Perspective

Ever have times when worry looms like a huge obstacle?

I’ve been working on my focus and my view of God. According to NASA, “Scientists estimate that there are more than 100 billion galaxies scattered throughout the visible universe. The Milky Way is a huge city of stars, so big that even at the speed of light it would take 100,000 years to travel across it.”

When anxiety creeps up and sends me reeling, I need to remember that the same God who created the inf… Continue

Waiting/Moving Forward/Running

Through God’s grace, I was blessed last week to attend the American Christian Fiction Writer’s (ACFW) Conference in Denver, Colorado. I loved visiting with my buddies, attending wonderful classes, meeting new friends, worshiping, hugging my agent, and pitching to an acquisition editor for a publisher. God blessed me abundantly. The editor requested to see my full manuscript! Woo hoo!

With all the fun, life is still filled with waiting. Even when a publisher accep… Continue
