- I'm a drafter by day, writer by night, guitar player on Sundays. I never thought a degree in mechanical engineering and a four-year stint as an aircraft maintenance officer in the Air Force would find expression in writing. I got the bug during the '07 NaNoWriMo. That effort turned into a three-part kid's sci-fi/textbook that's at an agent now. Another novel is finished, its first sequel 90% done, and it's fourth sequel half written. Nothing published so far; I'm too addicted to entering my short stories into an informal online contest to be patient enough to send them to magazines!
