About Me:
Drinking water is something I just don't do that often! Gosh, I think it sucks, and that sounds sort of vulgar- that drinking water sucks. Okay, I'd say its veeeeeeery boring! Juices and soda are top-rack. Hey, thinking of preaching health to me? Maybe you should, I just might need it, ha!

I have a paranormal fiction published. it is titled 'Eldingover Square' and don't ask me where that name came from. Somehow, I just kept placing letters together in my head, I suppose, and BAM!...ELDINGOVER!

I love Stephen King's and Frank Peretti's books. Michael Palmer and Dean Koontz are guys with a lot of bite, too.
.
What more can I say?

Oh, yezzz! I count my christian faith as my totality, and not a part of me, and I hope that I am able to affect and influence everyone I come in contact with, not just positively, but with a yearning to know more of God.

'Canada is cold right now. Not that that matters lots, but, at least, it gives me the impression I am writing something informative, if not academic.

I live with my loving wife, Melisa, and my two girls.

PROLOGUE.

April 2008.
New York.

It was one of those maddening days at work. Hide-whipper as her husband, Jason, would call such days and mind you, any thing whatsoever that gave you the sweats. This one was a ten-pointer hide-whipper and Andrea Leland imagined five straight days like this and she’d be going down the deep end before summer- and all her plans with her sister and the thought of flirting with a trip to Florida would all go poof. So much for being a great employee.

Yeah-send it! I can't promise to get to it really really quickly... between work, writing, and church activities, I'm about two steps into my busiest time of year... but I will get to it as soon as I can! You can attach it as MSWord and send to to my regular contact email if you'd like; I'd love to read it--sounds interesting... and just because it isn't Gospel doesn't mean it isn't inspired by God--if he puts a story in your heart... tell it! srvanness@gmail.com is the address! Happy writing!

Hey Joe- How's it going! I've been really inactive here--but things have been humming along in my other computer time. Still no word on THE RYN; Zondervan still has it; no news is good news! I've finally finished my untitled contemporary novel! Woo-hoo!!! I've got the first copy printed and out to my "unpaid" editorial staff for edits and magnifying glass plot problem-finding! I hope to have the proposal completed by December and get that puppy moving!
So what's happening in Joe world? I'm such a fan of your edginess! Tell me some good news!

Thanks for asking, but it's still a waiting and praying game. My agent did run into the requesting editor at a conference and they talked about it briefly, editor saying he was "swamped" right now but would get to it soon, so it could be a few months. That's okay with me... it's not like I'm sitting on my hands in the mean time. God knows what He's doing, so I'll wait on him.

Have you heard anything back on your Glimmer Train submission? ... or did you wait to send? What's new?

My Lakers are on a roll...Thats good!
Gotta have fun doing this you know... Don't try to rush it.

Hey there, Joe.
FYI: Just heard from my agent that a "major" CBA publisher who's seen my 2-book proposal for The Ryn wants to see the full, 181,000 word manuscript! Whodathunkit?

Yes but we super artsy types tend to be scatter brained to a certain extent! But I like to think of it as analytical chaos! Have a great Sunday!
