About Me:
I am a 10 year publishing veteran, graphics designer and newly commissioned author. I left the CBA world for the non-profit sector and work primarily with troubled teens. My two novels, Drawing Marissa and Forgiving Sean and a third due the summer of 2010, each deal with trauma and abuse, outlining how God loves through us our pain and is 'the' source of healing. I pull stories from my traumatic childhood, modeling experience and traditional New ENGLAND background. But all my work points to how the Holy Spirit has worked in my life to resolve my hurts and disappointments.

I have a dream to open my own publishing house and get new authors published. I am on the Board of Directors for Little Lauren Books, and spend my time writing, and designing book covers for other authors.

Hi Jessica!

Thanks for that! Unfortunately I already signed on with Book Surge...so I already have the publishing package.

My current WIP is about 30,000 words, but I'm in the process of adding a lot and and fleshing out characters that I previously neglected. So it will be a bit longer than the 30K.

If you're still interested, I'd love for you to look at a clip of my story.

Hi Jessica! These are all things I was just working on because I wanted to. Then, I got interested in publishing and I'm only working on Stoning the Crows, currently. My research led me into riding along with cops and now I'm hooked on that! It's a wild ride! When I get time, I want to check out your website and see what you've published. I'm very excited to have found this group - what a neat place and what awesome people! I have signed up with BookSurge. I really don't know what I'm doing yet in this area, so I went with self pub. I like them, I think. They have webinars every month on how to do your marketing, etc. It's a lot of work, but I can't work with deadlines right now since I home school 6 of my 7 children, still. :-) Please, when you get a chance, tell me about your work.

I'm a west coaster! We have 2 kids currently attending our local college, San Jose State, 1 who just graduated from there, and we have a daughter attending the Annapolis Naval Academy.

Hi Jessica, Yes, A Christian Pirate trilogy! Who would have thought? My kids are mostly in their 20's now. All in college so they don't do much recreational reading, but your books looks very interesting. Teens really need these kind of redeeming stories. Keep on writing!

Your story intrigues me also. We have a lot in common. God has a way of working miracles, just as our times in life show value in our journey into the future.
I have two completed manuscripts under women's fiction. I'm in the process of searching for an agent. Wanting to hold out from other publishing avenues until I can find representation. Meanwhile, I'm busy building a platform, networking with others.
God bless.

Beautiful book cover. I visited your site and it's one of the better author sites I've seen in a long time. Glad you are here, and hope you will share with us.
