Hi Janice, Try "Burden of Faith" when you are up to reading an extremely intense example of Edgy Christian Fiction. "Burden" has garnered 5-Stars from The Midwest Book Review, and, of course, is available on Kindle. Blessings ... Dean - www.deanm...

I just bought a kindle and am right now loving it. I can take it anywhere so I always have a book to read. But I really wanted to share a good book, one of the first I bought on kindle, it's called Latter Day Cipher (Latayne Scott) and I would con...

About Me:
I write what I consider edgy fiction. My first novel was published July 2007., The Kevlar Heart is available at Amazon.com and other on-line book retailers. I attend Christian writing conferences when I can, and I belong to one writer's group and of course to ACFW, but right now I'm engaged in caring for my elderly parents, so I can not travel much. I'm excited to find this site, group, topic and look forward to interacting.

Summer is here

Looking back, I can't believe that the last time I posted here it was winter and there was a ton of snow. Time doesn't just fly, it jets. Now, it's summer time in all but the calender date. Yesterday it was almost 90 here and while things are supposed to cool down, it won't be much. Trying to focus on what is most important since I always seem to have a ton of stuff to do. Time to get to the writing!

Busy 2009

Four feet of fresh snow at my house. As beautiful as it is to look at, I really hate shoveling. I try to make it a productive time, thinking about my WIP as I remove each shovel full. Praying that it's soft and fluffy, not icy. WIP is going good, four chapters down, hope to finish in 60 days. God bless all!

November Novel Writing Month

I'm taking part in NaNo, the National Novel Writing contest. It begins every month of November. I'm competing mostly to get back in the groove of writing every day. The last couple of months my life has been consumed with caring for my folks, moving them into a smaller house and just getting them settled in. My writing has suffered, so I'm hoping this contest will kick start me back into writing everyday. So far my word count is over 13,000. Hope to double that by the end of the month, at least.

Trying to get back in the groove

It's been a while since I posted anything anywhere! My life has been chaos. Not long after my mom healed from her broken hip, I had a fall of my own. I sprained my knee and broke two ribs. It was difficult to sit at the computer for a while. Next, my folks finally decided to sell their home and move to something smaller. Their house sold in two weeks, and then we began the search for a new house. In the midst of all this, my parents caregiver quit suddenly. Now, in the midst of a huge move, my f… Continue

Actually that does answer my questions. I was wondering if they were POD. Thanks! As far as my reviewing your book, I am so far behind it's ridiculous. I don't know when I'd get to it.

Janice, I noticed your publisher is Capstone. Are they a traditional publisher and do you like working with them?

Thank you. The dachshund puppy is my sister and her husband's, and the other two are mine. They're papillions.

I just looked at Jake and Maggie... I love 'em. My neighbors have a brown one and we were going to breed... then figured, nah. (neither of us, knew how...) The pup is baby pic... Jake is on my web-site. I think I'll go and try and get him on this site.

You go to photos, and browse, and post. I didn't do any thing special.
