Thanks. And if you do, please let me know. I know I for one am very interested. I've never heard of a Writing Buddie before. I like the idea of it though. :) I can definitely use someone to help encourage me when the going gets tough and even to celebrate with me. How did you find out about writing buddies?

I forgot that you were teaching the LNC Writing Buddies Friday night. I really wanted to learn more about that, but I could only choose one class. Which I'm really bummed about. I would have loved to have gone to your class. Will you be selling tapes from the class? Or is there any way I can find out about Writing Buddies. How to make them and keep them?

I hope you have a great week.

I'll be sure to say hi. :) I'm short too. lol I'm 5' 3" without heels. My hair is dark still and long. Will you be going to the author meet and greet at the MOA Friday afternoon? I"m planning on going.

I do live near the meeting. I'm about oh, half hour north west of Bloomington. I do know what sessions I'll be attending. Unfortunately I don't remember them all right now. lol Uh, I know I'll be attending Susan's session in the afternoon, and then her class with Rachel at night. Other than that, I forget. :) Do you know which classes you'll be attending? Will you be going to the MBV party Friday night that Susan and Rachel are having? If so, I'll see you there. :) Either way, it would be great to meet you.

Gina,

That's awesome! Congratulations! I hope you have a great week.

Are you going to the ACFW conference in MN? I can only attend Friday, but I'm looking forward to it. This is my first ACFW conference and I'm so excited.

Gina,
Did you ever hear back from the agent requesting your manuscript? If so, how did it go?

I hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend.

What are you willing to do to get published?

I'm not a romance writer, but after my agent's repeated suggestions, I wrote a romantic suspense. He says romance is selling well in the inspirational market and after my first mystery didn't sell, and I already had this romantic suspense book partly written (for an anthology,) I finished it. Now all I can do is wait, and rewrite my original mystery with a romance angle.

I'm not thrilled about turning my married protagonist into a divorced, single mom or three so she can find love and live happ… Continue

Too Many Crits Spoil the WIP!?!

It's like that old saying, "Too many cooks spoil the broth."

I'm at that point in my WIP where I'm doing last minute tweaking and trying to get feedback from lots of different people in anticipation of sending it off in a couple days/weeks! It's been a long time since I sent something off, mainly because I haven't had a finished WIP to send off. God interrupted my last WIP, the one I became so obsessed with publication while writing it. But before God held up his divine stop sign, I was right w… Continue

A Writing Riddle!?!

Friday night I locked myself in a local hotel to edit the last 100 pages of my WIP.

I started by rereading and doing edits on the last couple of chapters.

I worked nonstop, staying on the computer past midnight, with only an hour break on Saturday afternoon to watch an archaeology excavation on
the Discovery Channel. And another short break for dinner.

Now it's Sunday morning and though I haven't left my computer except for coffee and the necessary elimination of coffee b
