I write Inspriational Historical Romance for Steeple Hill. My debut novel, The Gladiator, will be out in November 2009, followed by The Duke's Redemption in January 2010. I'm currently working on a sequel to The Gladiator scheduled for release in May 2010.

I don't know if i'm going yet, either. Oh well...Just thought if you were and i ended up going it would be fun to see each other there.
I'll look for you on the new web-site for FWA.
Take care, Valerie
Even though the Atlantic is not far from our house, the only one who goes to the city beaches is my husband. We sometimes go to a place called Plum Beach which is a dog walking, kite flying, and kyacking beach, but not really a swimming beah. It's shallow for a long way out.
To spend time on the beach, we go to Long Island (Long Beach or Montauk). Long Beach is a day trip, but Montauk means staying over.
When we were dating and before the kids, we used to get into Manhattan (the borough w/the skyscrapers and Broadway, etc.) all the time. But since the kids...we do things in our borough that are family oriented. The part of Brooklyn we live on is residential and on the Atlantic Ocean, so it's entirely different than Manhattan. We have several waterfront communities here, marians, beaches, etc.
I live in NYC, the borough of Brooklyn, actually. What we did was load up the car and take a family trip to Montauk on Long Island, to get out of the city. It's beautiful out there. It has a tinge of the chic from it's neighbors in the Hamptons, but it still retains some ruggedness with it's working harbor. The shrimp boats go out every night.

I'm getting further along the writing path, and it is a long and arduous journey, but it is exciting all the way.
I am glad to be among the company of 'edgy Christian fiction' writers. The world needs the reality of God, not the syrupy-sweet religion!
Blessings,
Chazz
