Over at my blog: http://www.fictionmatters.blogspot.com
I began a thread about heroes
of fiction. The responses were fantastic, but now, the conversation has
evolved into one about the systemic issues of the publishing industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join with publishers, authors,
agents, and readers to discuss the various positions that make up the
industry.
This is a positive discussion, which seeks to define and expound on
important changes that are happening now, and ideas about where the
industry should go in the future.

My Friend,
May God shine his GLORY upon you. and through you, and brighten your day. Please take a moment now to give thanks for what you cherish most in your life. Recognize also, the other gifts he has bestowed upon you. Have a wonderful day.
Sheesh, that is a long list. I would have to think about that and go through each book I'd really loved this past year and tell you why it changed my heart. That will take some time.
I have seven authors lined up, and at least six more who are currently
working on their submission to my blog.

I'm excited to be able to play host to these talented Canadian authors.
Their books range from children's to adult fiction. Picture books, to
fictionalized biography.
And that's just the beginning.
I was amazed how many US writers responded to the call, and so I've
decided to allow some exceptions. It's so great to be introduced to a
new author, no matter where he or she is from. The main focus will be on
Canadians.
Many of these US authors have strong Canadian ties, also, that they are
happy to share with you in this up close look at the art and the artist.
Some of the authors are new to the publishing scene. Others are old
pros. Each has a great story behind the story to share with you.
I'm finalizing the format I want to use for this exciting event, and the
author highlight will begin on Monday, Feb 11 (my daughter's 5th
birthday!), 2008.
I hope you're as excited as I am. Each day I hear from three or four
more authors who are excited to share their work with you in this fun
and intimate format.
There is still time for your fiction to be highlighted on my blog.

Awright! Now you got me! Your book is about talking to the dead? Well, mine is, too. It is titled Eldingover Square and was published in 2006! How 'bout that!
I'm a writer, with a few anthologies to my name (see the book self below), My non-fiction Your Best You: Discovering and Developing the Strengths God Gave You, released March 1, 2009. It teaches you the true "how to" change your life using your strengths. This book is about you - your strengths (how ever you choose to define them), your true goals, and how to draw a personal map to get where you want to go.
My debut novel Talking to the Dead (David C. Cook) will be released June 1, 2009. "When a young widow’s husband speaks to her from beyond the grave, she consults a spiritualist, a shrink, and an exorcist before a warmhearted pastor helps her find the grace to forgive—and go on."
I'm currently at work on a second novel I fondly refer to as Gabby Wells ' The Musical! All the drama and fun of a mucical - none of the singing and dancing....or music. Ahem.
I'm Canadian. I live with my hubby who is my soul mate, my best friend and he happens to be a pastor. I have two kiddos that I like so much. Our boy is 8 and our girl is 6.
