Edgy Christian Fiction Lovers

Readers and authors sharing great edgy fiction that inspires...

Hi all,
I'm a newbie here and am looking for advice. ACFW is having the Genesis competition for unpublished authors and I'm thinking of sending in my MS. As you can guess, by my presence here, the story is edgy. It would be under suspense/mystery/thriller. Am I wasting my time and money in entering?

I should mention that I'm a professional forensic artist and my mentor is Frank Peretti. The story is about a serial killer (I've worked on serial killing cases.) No cussing. No sex. Violence.

Blessings,
Carrie

I would definitely enter the Genesis competition. The feedback you get from other authors on your work is a great tool.

Make sure your work is the best possible, follow the guidelines, and send your work off with a prayer.

Good luck!

For the genre you're seeking, I think your story will work very well. I've read (and loved) Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker and they are edgy in that genre with violence (and great suspense) in their books.
