I've just compiled a To Be Read list because a number of writing blogs and groups have discussed books they are reading or want to read, and I saw a few recommended authors & titles coming up again and again, ones I haven't read. I've also heard a few authors interviewed who mention their favorite books and again, a few repeated favs I've never read, including a few MUST READ classics. Shame on me! I'm planning on making up for lost time tho, and I've got a TBR list.
Randy Ingermanson asked bloggers what fiction we are reading this week, and that's netting an assortment of titles too. Check it out here.
I'm curious to see if you Edgers have TBR lists and if so, I wonder what books keep popping up on everyone's lists. So what are you reading or planning to read? I'll be back to post mine in a bit. You go first.
I don't really have a TBR list. I'm a librarian who does workshops on Edgy Christian Fiction and right now I'm reading Shepherd's Fall by W.L. Dyson which is about a family that runs a bounty hunting business and they are trying to capture a killer who escaped prison. I also recently read Fatal Illusions by Adam Blumer. I really enjoy it. It takes place in Michigan which is where I'm from and it has a interensting Harry Houdini plot thoughout the story. I would recommend either of these books if you like mysteries.
I just finished (today) The Novelist by Angel Hunt
I am currently reading The Secret LIfe of Becky Miller by Sharon Hinck
Some of the books on the top of my TBR pile:
Wounded Healer by Donna Fleisher
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Eli by Bill Myers
The Surrogate by Kathryn Mackel
and a couple of Jodi Picoult's books.
Right now I'm reading The Book Thief. Then I have a book by a friend And The Whippoowill Sang. After that I have The Dream of Reason, a history of philosophy, How do I know the order? Because I have a pile at all times.
If you want a good book, you might also try my novel, "Widow's Walk." HTTP://WIDOWS-WALK.WEBS.COM
I have a rather large book collection so to list all my TBRs would take about a day.. currently reading Scottish Girls About Town (passing it on to a friend in Greymouth when I am down there in just over a week)
