I've just compiled a To Be Read list because a number of writing blogs and groups have discussed books they are reading or want to read, and I saw a few recommended authors & titles coming up again and again, ones I haven't read. I've also heard a few authors interviewed who mention their favorite books and again, a few repeated favs I've never read, including a few MUST READ classics. Shame on me! I'm planning on making up for lost time tho, and I've got a TBR list.
Randy Ingermanson asked bloggers what fiction we are reading this week, and that's netting an assortment of titles too. Check it out here.
I'm curious to see if you Edgers have TBR lists and if so, I wonder what books keep popping up on everyone's lists. So what are you reading or planning to read? I'll be back to post mine in a bit. You go first.
With Steve B? He's nice. I said too many ums my first time, second I did better (talking about conference) and this last one for the mag I only said um five times!
No, I don't think I know Steve B. It was with a nice lady named Leslie Howard that I met on ShoutLife. I don't think I said um, but I know I tripped over several answers. LOL, did you go back and listen to count ums? I don't think I'm brave enough to go back and listen.
I just finished reading Fahrenheit 451. It just qualifies as a novel with about 50,000 words, so it should come as no surprise that I bought it at the airport and finished reading it before I boarded the plane. The book has been around for decades, but it could have been written today. This is a book that says more in 50,000 words than many author's are able to say in 150,000.
Just emailing with Michelle this morning about our overwhelming TBR piles! Here are a few coming up for me:~
Riven by Jerry Jenkins
Farraday Road by Ace Collins
Providence by Chris Coppernoll
Vanish by Tom Pawlik
By Reason of Insanity by Randy Singer
Try Darkness by James Scott Bell
Zora and Nicky by Claudia Mair Burney
The Hunted by Mike Delloso
In The Shadow of Lions by Ginger Garrett
My Sister Dilly by Maureen Lang
I'm going to stop now - LOL!!
Be sure to try Embrace Me by Lisa Samson - powerful reading!
I'm reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and his book on craft, Character's and Viewpoint. I need to have them both done before I take off for his workshop on Sunday and I'm so behind. Oh, well. Hopefully he'll forgive me. :D
