What R U Reading/What's On Your TBR list?

I've just compiled a To Be Read list because a number of writing blogs and groups have discussed books they are reading or want to read, and I saw a few recommended authors & titles coming up again and again, ones I haven't read. I've also heard a few authors interviewed who mention their favorite books and again, a few repeated favs I've never read, including a few MUST READ classics. Shame on me! I'm planning on making up for lost time tho, and I've got a TBR list.

Randy Ingermanson asked bloggers what fiction we are reading this week, and that's netting an assortment of titles too. Check it out here.

I'm curious to see if you Edgers have TBR lists and if so, I wonder what books keep popping up on everyone's lists. So what are you reading or planning to read? I'll be back to post mine in a bit. You go first.

My list has books I've read and books I want to read

Virginia Smith: Stuck in the Middle, But I need to read more. I like her books
Harper Lee: To Kill A Mockingbird
Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
Donald Miller: Blue Like Jazz (I’ve heard of this, but never read it)
James Scott Bell: I’m currently reading “Deceived”
Tosca Lee: I’ve read “Demon” and want to read “Havah”
Mark Andrew Olson I’ve read “The Watchers”, “The Warriors” and recently “Ulterior Motives" anything he put out, I'm willing to read. He's good.

Stuck in the Middle is good. Loved Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Loved Tosca Lee's Havah (it was my favorite book of 2008), and loved Mark Andrew Olsen's Ulterior Motives. Great stuff!

Havah rocks :).

I've got a stack of to-reads I've finally been able to put a dent in lately. Mostly secular YA fantasy. A teen novel called So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld (secular), one of the few Peretti novels I haven't read yet--The Visitation, and some other misc. stuff.

I'm in the middle of reading Summa Elvetica by Theaodore Beale right now. My first Marcher Lord Press book :). So far, so good. An exercise in vocabulary, but an interesting premise to be sure. Do Elves have souls? Well, in my book they surely do--they're actually very spiritual. Especially my Elven musician--my favorite character--who has has quite a spectacular spiritual gift :).

Oh, I was wondering about that book. It looked interesting. :)

It's not very fast-paced in the beginning, but I'm ok with that. It's pretty well-written, and so far it's held my interest. Not a can't-put-it-down book, but good. I'm curious to reach the end, and find out where the author takes it. I'll probably review it on my blog when I'm done.

I really want to read By Darkness Hid, by Jill Williamson from MLP. It's a really awesome story idea.

By Darkness Hid is amazing. I endorsed it!

Just got a copy of Havah recently, and am very anxious to read it. Demon was definitely a great book!

Read last week (all teen):

On the Bright Side I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God by Rennison (Soooo funny! I love the Georgia Books)
Gone by Grant (Extremely suspenseful! Read all 600pgs in one day)
Lament by Stiefvater (romantic fantasy)
Rebel Angels by Brey (The sequel to A Great and Terrible Beauty. WONDERFUL books! I can't wait to read the third in the series)
The Hunger Games by Collins (AAAAHHHHH! This book was beyond good. It was AMAZING/AWESOME/RAD/OFF-THE-WALL! A must read for ALL--see it's so good I'm breaking into spontaneous rhyming! The next book can't come out fast enough!!! )

Reading now:

Breaking Dawn
by Meyers (I've finally convinced myself to read this one--I was getting tired of all the Edward mooning going on. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's actually really good! Almost as good as book one)

Up Next:

Hunger by Grant (sequel to Gone. Yay! Can't wait to see what happens to the kids--if you like sci-fi/horror you would love these. It's Lord of the Flies meets Stephen King. Really suspenseful)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows by Rollings (I couldn't bring myself to read this one, cause I didn't want it all to be over--but the movie will be coming out next year, so I figure I better get it read)

Yes, I'm on a YA trip these days. I'm trying to catch up on my reading--it was too hard to read when I was having chemo so I got really behind. Some great stuff has come out, though. :)

Ooh, I'll have to check those out. Not that I have room on my shelf :).

I cannot believe you never read Deathly Hallows! Holy cow, I read THAT whole book in two days--I didn't leave my bedroom. Then, I read it again. And now, I'm on my third time through the series...finished book five...trying to time it so I read book six right before the movie! It comes out two days after my birthday. Couldn't care less about my birthday--I'm counting down to HP!

I remember not being able to read during chemo--I watched movies and slept alot. But on the day of my actual treatment I was hooked up to the IV for so long and pumped so full of steroids I got loads of reading done :).

Breaking Dawn was ok...I forced myself to read it because I figured I had read the rest, but Twilight was the best of them all.

Call me a freak but I've not read any Harry Potter or anything in the Twilight series. I don't have time with all of the books I get and writing my own, too.
