What R U Reading/What's On Your TBR list?

I've just compiled a To Be Read list because a number of writing blogs and groups have discussed books they are reading or want to read, and I saw a few recommended authors & titles coming up again and again, ones I haven't read. I've also heard a few authors interviewed who mention their favorite books and again, a few repeated favs I've never read, including a few MUST READ classics. Shame on me! I'm planning on making up for lost time tho, and I've got a TBR list.

Randy Ingermanson asked bloggers what fiction we are reading this week, and that's netting an assortment of titles too. Check it out here.

I'm curious to see if you Edgers have TBR lists and if so, I wonder what books keep popping up on everyone's lists. So what are you reading or planning to read? I'll be back to post mine in a bit. You go first.

I created a TBR, but I became overwhelmed. So I backed off, and decided I need to approach one book at a time.

Currently, I'm reading Lisa Samson's latest "Romancing Hollywood Nobody" after that, I'll read "Just As I Am" by Virginia Smith. Wanted to have that read by now, but life happens.

After that, I'll probably read one for review and venture into a non-fiction book.

I'll add Lisa Samson to my list. I saw a summary of her first Hollywood Nobody book and thought it looked intriguing. I'm sure there are lots of authors I've missed, so mine is definitely not exhaustive. It helps to hear what other people read & like to narrow the list.

The CFBA seems to determine my reading list. And now I've joined some other groups as well. Right now I'm finishing Wind River by Tom Morrisey. I recommend that book to everyone. I just got Try Darkness by James Scott Bell, so that's up next. I want to work in The Shack at some point this summer.

If anyone is interested in non-fiction, I have two copies of Love as a Way of Life: Seven Keys to Transforming Every Aspect of Your Life by Gary Chapman that I'll be giving away next week at my reading blog - Bookmark Cafe.

I forgot to add "The Organized Student." Need to help my kids get on track for the school year.

Wow, Camille, what a great list! I see my buddy Jim Bell is on there for both fiction and non; he'd be pleased! *G*

I am indebted to J-man. He critiqued a sample of my novel at Mt Hermon this year and was very encouraging. Surprisingly so. That earned him a candy bar from me.

I already have Plot & Structure and look forward to his newest craft book. I've only read one of his fiction books and figured I needed to get caught up on his others.

I see most of my must read authors are men. Dale Cramer one of my favorites. Summer of Light is genius wrapped in "light" and sarcasm.

Camille, from the books you have listed (that I've read) I'll tell you the ones I loved most....

Susan Meissner – Blue Heart Blessed, Widows & Orphans
Virginia Smith – Stuck in the Middle, Sincerely Mayla
Jane Kirkpatrick – A Tendering In the Storm. (Have the other two and still need to read)
Donald Miller – Blue Like Jazz
John B Olson – Fossil Hunter
Tosca Lee – Demon, A Memoir

And the ones I didn't like so much or didn't finish.... You'll figure them out. :)

I'm currently reading Laced by Carol Higgins Clark. My flight out of Atlanta was delayed for three and a half hours last night, so I picked up this book. It was either that or War and Peace.

I just got another book added to my TBR list.

"Watcher in the Woods" by Robert Liparulo. I hope to have it read and reviewed by Aug 1.

I love Robert Liparulo. I have Comes a Horsemen, and read the other two, Germ and Deadfall. Marvelous suspense.

Right now I'm reading Anathema by Colleen Coble and LOVING it. My only regret is having so many interruptions. On the flip side, I have something to look forward to this evening.
